Simonds patent pending A8 tooth geometries provide optimum cutting performance across a broad array of applications and materials. The M42 high speed edge improves wear resistance and the oversized blade body increases beam strength, both leading to more cuts per blade. A8 BroadBand was developed with end user input and the design has been proven across North America, South America, Europe and Asia. The BroadBand band saw blade is an all-purpose high-quality blade, well suited for cutting a wide range of alloys. BroadBand is a world-beater. Applications: Steel service centers, medium and large manufacturers, fabricators, tool and die shops. Ideal for Carbon steel, chrome steel, tool steel, die steel, stainless steel, and nickel base steel. Regular tooth pattern broken up to reduce noise. Less vibration and chatter. One blade is suitable for a wider range of cutting. Tooth pattern repeated throughout band. Tooth shape changes within pattern. Tooth tip hardened to 67 Rc to 69 Rc. Ideal for cutting shapes like plate, thick wall tube and thin wall tube.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Seems Comparable to the Ellis Blade..

I bought this to try on my Ellis 1600 bandsaw. The price & prime 2 day free shipping was an advantage. So far so good as a direct comparison to the Ellis blade that came with my new saw. In fact I would be inclined to believe that Ellis uses Simonds A8 blade stock. The Ellis saws are known to use the dry cutting system with minimum heat being transferred to the blade. The course tooth blades are best for dry cutting IMO, I usually order 3 to 4 TPI blades for dry cutting and I'm really impressed with the Ellis saw dry cutting ability. My other bandsaw is a wet type and works best with a finer tooth blade.If anybody has any info on what brand blade stock Ellis actually uses please leave a comment here.. Thanks..
