They were a little stiff at first but after 2 days they loosened up and now are easy walking. My feet swell on the top part of my foot from Type 2 but these accommodate after breaking them in. So far I am very happy with these. Even wet they don't slip and are easy air dry and/or wipe dry. Good arch support and you can tell it is doing the job. Great value for a sandal in the less expensive range. I must say it was a surprise to find these and them fit my feet well. I did measure my foot length and it was just under 10.5 inches long so I got the size 11 and they are perfect for me.
