I purchased two in "sand" color and two in black. The finish on all capsules was satin-smooth and uniform, with no burrs, sharp edges, or tooling marks. Threads were somewhat fine for a container of this size, but were cut well. All capsules were tested for a water-tight seal to a depth of 10 feet for one hour, and passed. These are excellent EDC capsules having a threaded, O-ring-sealed access at both the top and bottom of each capsule. With internal dimensions of just under 3.75" in length, and just over 1" in diameter, they are capable of carrying a respectable volume of useful items (storm-proof matches, small tools, lighters, tinder, batteries, cash, medical items, etc.) A pair of replacement O-rings was provided with each capsule as well. My single minor issue with these capsules is that the bases are slightly rounded, and, consequently, will not stand upright on a flat surface. I feel that they would be more useful with flat bases which permit them to stand upright. The seller who provided my items was Latin Internet Technology CO, Ltd - a very fine seller. The first shipment of the items was "lost" (likely mis-delivered) by USPS, through no fault of the seller. Despite this, the seller immediately and graciously sent me a replacement shipment, which was received quickly, and in good order, a week ago. They arrived sooner than estimated and are as described. They're not perfect, but still deserve the 5 stars. The reason I gave it 5 stars, for the price I couldn't expect anything better. I have purchased and still have US made containers which I payed a lot more for and they were worth it. But for what I wanted this product for, it will do the job at a much lower price. The 5.1 inches in the description is the overall outside, not the inside. The inside is about 3-3/4" long and the inside diameter is about 1-1/16".That's the good, now the not so good. The two were not exactly the same, one was mat black and the other was gloss black. One had machining marks in the handle slot and the other was smooth and nice. If these minor quality issues are not an issue, this is a great item at a great price.
