A 11mm tube can be pushed through the drink spout to make a straw into the bottle. A hiking pole rubber cap can be used as a final seal and support over the spout. A quick release connector can be added to the tube with the bite valve. The lid becomes a dust protector when closed. It will need a hole drilled for the tube. Also the air hole plug will need to be ground down so it does not seal the new air valve. The new system works great! It has an ergonomic design and although the rotation of the cap can seem out of alignment if not fitted with care, simply remove and rotate a 1/4 turn then reapply. Dropped the bottle lid once of the table and it cracked.
