But got my fuel (and fuel pod) at our local Walmart. **Q: what type of fuel does this use?** A: I use Sterno Heat Gel Fuel with it. **Q: What brand and size heating fuel works with it. A 2.6 oz of sterno doesn’t fit?** A: I’m not sure of the ounces but only a small sterno fits. I’ve only used it twice for that reason. The bigger one slides around and us dangerous. And that is what I got. Inexpensive and Pretty. Sadly, they did not meet any other expectations. The negative: 1) No instructions for the burners. 2) The burners do not work! They actually created a volcano effect and scorched my chocolate and cheese within moments of lighting them. Within seconds of lighting, I heard my fondue start popping and crackling. (I worked really hard on those recipes and had houseguests to feed. In order to have fondue and not needing to order pizza for my fondue party!!!… I ended up putting them on the stove top to warm up the fondue at various times during my party, instead of using the burners. I could’ve done this with any pot. I was not expecting to have to “cook” fondue on my stovetop all night. 3) The steel is very cheap. I had to remove the tops due to the dangerous sharp edges. 4) I guess you get what you pay for. Unfortunately I will be returning these. I need functional fondue pots, not just inexpensive aesthetically pleasing fondue pots.
