It did come folded but we used a handheld steamer and was able to get the wrinkles out. Been using it for a few days and the dogs freshly cut nails do not damage it. Some back drops are very heavy and some of them are so thin. This one is right in the middle. I'm using it for my daughters 2nd birthday pictures. I can totally see using this for more projects.
