For the price, I was expecting a real hoodie, made of normal sweatshirt material, but it's not. I don't really know how to describe the material but it's really thin and cheap feeling and sticks to my dry hands. It would not survive washing, even on delicate cycle. It also runs very small. I ordered my tall, skinny 10 year old the tag size medium, US size extra small, and it's tiny. Since the reviews said the size runs small I figured it was perfect for a child who tends to wear a size 8 in girls clothing (she’s 10). I ordered an XS and it fits quite perfectly for her because it’s a little long in the arms and a little long in the torso but the neck opening is just right and it’s not bulky on her torso. I was surprised the material was as thin as it was- it is not a true sweatshirt in terms of bulk and warmth but since we live in the south it’s really great for our purposes. The main points to be aware of is that it does run very small, because she is a small 10-year-old but it fits well, and the material is very thin, as far as sweatshirts go.
