I had another brand (famous) but it was awful. Junk. I researched a LOT and found this company, based in Germany I think. So easy to seal and 99% of the time it seals perfectly. (on the odd occasion, I cut the plastic incorrectly or made the bag too small. And another thing.If you have used sealers, sometimes (sometimes a lot) the bag slowly loses the vacuum in the freezer. Not this unit. I have sealed: fish (tilapia), pre-cooked chicken cutlets, individual hot dogs, frozen pancakes (from those packages - I sealed 3 at a time) and more. This unit is top quality, and again, so EASY to use.one word of caution: you will want to seal a lot - so some extra bags - I found the 7 inch bags are actually bigger than you think. I use the Caso brand, so I don't know if there are other brands you can use.one suggestion: When you click to seal, really click and listen for that noise. I wasn't pressing hard enough. Works well removing all the air with high suction power. It's easy to use, simple buttons, simple instructions. Have been using it to freeze and save veggies as they are starting to expire. Rather than throw them out, this is going to save me a lot of money and make dinner prep easy. It's a nice looking appliance. I love the size - had an older sealer that I used prior to this and it took up a lot of space on my shelf. Not this one, it is compact and easy to use. There is an option for vacuum sealing containers that I am eager to use once I purchase the specialized containers.I like how there is a space for the cord to wrap under the sealer so it doesn't lay loose on my shelf. I use it all the time. It seals well and the suction power 5 stars. I did have a problem when I tried to vacuum and seal shrimp with the tail. It didn’t hold up. I think it poked little holes in the bag.
