## Description

Product Description The Diablo 10" x 50-Teeth Combination Saw Blade for Wood is ideal for ripping and crosscutting wood & wood composites with the goal of a smooth finish. The best choice for a table saw when one blade is needed for ripping and crosscutting. Each set of 5 teeth is separated by a large gullet. Diablo's large gullet provides the chip removal space required while ripping and the close grouping of teeth within the set provide the smaller bite size required when crosscutting. From the Manufacturer This Diablo saw blade is designed to meet the needs of the construction and remodeling market. This advanced laser cut blade features a thin kerf, making it ideal for portable and low powered saws on the jobsite. A permanent Perma-SHIELD coating keeps this blade free from gumming and corrosion, and laser-cut stabilizer vents reduce vibration and heat buildup for more precise cuts and longer cutting life. This particular blade is the best choice for a table saw when one blade is needed for ripping and crosscutting.

Review: Best saw blade that won't put you in the poor house - Let me start off first by saying I am not a professional carpenter or wood worker by any stretch of the imagination, more like a hobbyist and that's stretching it a lot. I took wood shop in high school and that was 30 years ago. but I've tinkered over the years but in the last year or so I've been trying to get back into wood working, so I bought me a table saw and some other tools, andl I'm in the middle of making a project for my wife and I never give the saw blade that came with the saw much thought it was brand new and it felt sharp so I started using it, and I'm cutting red oak so it's a hard wood not super hard but it's not pine either and I noticed after about 10 maybe 15 cuts I was having to push a little harder and was getting light burn marks, so I started looking around for a new blade so I bought a dewalt blade it's a little better but I still wasn't impressed,so I started looking on wood worker forums and the general consensus was that the majority of people were using freud diablo blades.I didn't know a lot about freud but I knew enough to know that their blades were around 60 to 75 dollars and I was a tight wad and didn't want to spend that much on a blade. my attitude was literally how much better can one blade be over another just because of price. Well about a month ago I was surfing around on desertcart and came across a Freud blade and it was under 40 bucks so I got curious and started reading the reviews and they were talking about how sharp they were and how accurate they were and how long they lasted and how much quiter they were so I thought it's not much more than the dewalt blade I bought. I got it really fast as always with desertcart Prime shipping as soon as I got it I went to my shop and installed it and started making test cuts on some scrap and let me just say OMG Freud has a reputation for being one of the best blades on the market for a reason they earned it.. this blade was so sharp it cut through that scrap oak literally like a knief through butter the effort it took to push the wood through my saw was so much easier than it was with my stock blade even better than the dewalt. I can't attest to the longevity yet because I haven't had it very long but from what I've read you can sharpen this blade over and over I think you can even send it to freud and they will sharpen it don't know what that would cost but it would be worth it. And the last thing I noticed is the sound level this blade is so quite I couldn't believe it just with it spinning on the saw not cutting its so quite and when you're cutting it is so noticeably quite compared to a stock saw blade or one's of lesser expense. I was so impressed that I bought a 2nd Freud except the second one is for rip cuts. I could go on for a long time about this blade bottom line is you're getting a great quality blade for a really decent price it's sharp it's quite and most likely will last you twice as long as the cheaper ones will. I love this blade
Review: Makes good clean cuts, great blade for any saw. - This is a great blade and makes really nice fine cuts on my table saw, a big upgrade from my original 24 tooth blade. Wish I would have bought this sooner for more finer cuts, or has made my carpentry work more accurate. Especially for miter type cuts and haven’t really noticed any tear out, love the Freud line of blades and bits, top quality IMO.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Would this blade cut a flat bottom dado?**
A: No - The better version, if you want to make smooth multiple passes for a dado is the more expensive, Freud LU84R011 which has a flat bottom edge on the first tooth after each gullet.

**Q: Would you recommend this blade for ripping finished hardwood? I am looking for a good blade for ripping cabinet fillers, etc.**
A: It depends on what the cabinets are made out of. If they're solid wood, yes absolutely this blade will do great, it leaves almost sanded smooth edges if your saw is setup right. If its plywood, or particle board, or mdf, I'd use a diablo blade meant for that kind of wood like the freud d1090x 90 tooth blade, that will leave sanded smooth edges on a plywood board, and wont tear up your veneer like the 50 tooth blade might.

**Q: Why are the vents just printed on**
A: The vents are actually through-cut, then filled with a rubbery material. They really do work. These blades are far quieter than the stock blades that come on most saws.

**Q: Are these really made in China?**
A: From what I have read, the Diablo series is made in Italy but who knows what really goes on these days? I am happy with the blade and at the price it is a good value. Could they have been made in Italy at one time and then sourced/made in another country later on? I can't say.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Like a hot knife through warm butter
*by B***H on February 4, 2026*

A very good quality blade for all around wood working. Gives good clean rip and crosscuts on all of the hardwoods I've cut with it, along with the harder exotics (purple heartwood, zebra wood, padauk, etc).
