The wood is very solid. The only negative and something others have mentioned is the finish on the wood is very thin and probably wouldn't hold up with constant exposure to the weather. To address that I added 3 coats of an exterior high gloss clear finish and it looks great. The only other thing I would mention is that although I was able to assemble it myself another person assisting would have made it easier especially when trying to line up the screw holes. Some have mentioned they needed to purchase additional hardware since not enough was included. That was not the case in my situation. In fact, a few extra washers and nuts were included. The only thing that would have made this purchase better was if a pillow was included in addition to the hammock itself. But overall, I am very happy with this hammock. Review: Pretty good! This one was 14’ and the largest I could find was 15’. I am 6’2” and fit perfect in this one. The box arrived with all the hardware missing, but I reached out to the seller at 4:30pm and had all of the hardware by the next day at 10am. I couldn’t believe how quickly the seller got me the hardware. I’ve read other reviews saying hardware was missing and the person purchased it all separately from a big box store.
