**Q: Would anyone know how long the cord is?  Thank you.**
A: Sure do!  I just measured it, and it was longer than I thought:  TOTAL LENGTH: 98 inches, two inches longer than an 8 foot (12X8=96") tape measure ;))  Hope this helps out with your decision.

**Q: What is the wattage?**
A: On inspection I am seeing these specs 1100W 120V 60Hz

**Q: does it have self-cleaning function**
A: Not like the new ones. YOu can have the burst of steam. The self cleaning on my expensive iron wasn't worth much. So I don't miss anything.

**Q: Where is it manufactured?**
A: Manufactured in China.

Was so tired of expensive "better brand" irons not lasting....something always went wrong with them. We had one of these at our shore house when I was a kid and you can't kill these! So I bought a new one. It's heavy, so it does the work instead of you having to take a running start to put enough pressure on an iron to get wrinkles out. It steams and heats up...that's it...no bells and whistles. It is smaller and so the water needs to be filled more often, but it works great! I love it! Sometimes it's better to go with the "old fashioned" things to get the job done right.

Pretty much like the iron I grew up with, but updated. This iron is considerably heavier than most modern irons. That may be an issue for some people. It works well, heats up fast, and steam irons my cotton shirts and pillowcases beautifully. It has an automatic shot off and so far, no leaks.

I love, love, love this iron. It is so yesterday, but it works SO well. You can hot iron with no water and get a great iron job, BUT, you can also use water (tap, yea) and get that great steamed look!! Not easy to find this type of iron today, but well worth it!!
