Mica Decorations has bottles, flower pots and hanging balls and pears in many shapes and sizes to create a terrarium. They are available in open and closed shapes. The first occasionally need water, just like houseplants. The second can be closed and then form a minibiotop that cares for itself. Step 1 Crumble enough charcoal to cover the pebble floor well. This has a cleansing effect and prevents fungi. There is an approx. 8 cm thick, soft, supple layer of potting soil without clumps. There are special long terrarium spoons and forks to distribute some things, but with a bamboo stick, a cake fork and a piece of tape you will also get ahead well. Step 2 Use one of the spoons to make a cave, where the first plant should come in. Take the plant out of the pot and shake as much potting soil as possible from the root ball. Then carefully take the plant between the spoons and let it sink into place. Scoop back the potting soil and press it slightly with the cork. Depending on the size and shape of the bottle, 3-5 plants are sufficient. Step 3 Cover the rest of the floor with moss, shells or pebbles and, if desired, add a clean scrubbed figure or beautiful branch and possibly clean the interior walls with a brush. Pour rainwater into the bottle and then leave it open where you want your terrarium. Preferably choose a bright place, not in the blazing sun and not near a heater. Observe the floor, which must not be too wet or too dry. Step 4 When everything seems to be in balance (there must be slight condensation in the bottle), then after a week the cork can start working on its own biotop. Leave the cork on the bottle, only when it is very hot and there is a lot of condensation, can it be quickly removed for ventilation. The rest does the terrarium itself, you just need to enjoy it.
