I spent the first few weeks getting comfortable with the weight set-up that I purchased for my home gym, brushing up on proper techniques to avoid injury, and doing a lot of cardio to shed a few pounds. Then, when it was time to start lifting some real weights, I wanted to avoid any injury. I decided to purchase a lifting belt to help me reduce stress on my lower back, and to keep me from potentially hurting myself if I lost form due to being weaker.The belt is surprisingly sturdy and well put together, and feels like it will last a long time. It’s also made of material that can be washed and dried in a jiffy, without starting to come apart or to look any different. It is also surprisingly lightweight, but gets the job done effectively.
