You have to use more of the Complexion Rescue to cover imperfections, it costs more but it lasts longer than the powder. Hope this helps. **Q: My skin is very fair with pink undertones. should i get the opal or the vanilla in this product?** A: Opal is amazing for matching to skin with Pink undertones, it has a really flattering finish too **Q: I wear BM medium beige powder-which shade of this should I try?** A: I'd chosen Suede 04 for my shade... and it was just a pinch too dark. Take their color quiz on the BM website, and see what closely resembles your skin color.. then I'd pick one shade lighter (if it were me).. If you have an Ulta or Sephora or something like that close by, I'd suggest going in and trying out the shades. It's always been a challenge for me to pick the right shade for me when there are so many to choose from. I hear that you can tell if you're a "cool or warm" based off the shade of blush that looks best on you too.. (my skin tone is best with a coral or peach. The pinks make me look like I have a fever. That's how I know I'm a "cool".) You may have to read up on how to tell which you are - to help you chose. I am a medium beige in the powder too... and I can't recall the color charting, but if I had to chose again, whatever color is before Suede is the one I'd pick. Hope that's somewhat helpful...Again, I can make Suede 04 work... Excellent! *by D***S on May 20, 2019* Winter shade I purchased is buttercream for my pale warm skin tone. Exactly what I was looking for. I’m 46 and my skin has become mostly dry but after a few hours my face looks dull and has a bit too much oil under my eyes so that my eye make up can start to run buuut if I put powder under my eyes the skin becomes very wrinkly looking and too dry. (It’s a lovely phase of life.) This gel/cream -I’d call it a light cream- is as good as it gets if you want a lighter, natural coverage with moderate to nearly heavy moisturization. I can put some powder under my eyes and it stays smooth with no dryness or oiliness. This never looks cakey at all anywhere on my face. The perfect description is dewy and radiant. It minimizes redness but doesn’t cover every flaw. If full coverage is what a woman is looking for you won’t be happy with this. I like to leave some of my own complexion showing through most days so for me this coverage is perfect. I also wanted a lighter feel and a higher spf for outdoor activity. It’s excellent. Anything with spf usually burns my eyes at one point or another while wearing, ruining my day, this doesn’t at all! I seriously hope they keep making this exact formulation forever! It’s perfect the way it is. I use it nearly every morning as a moisturizer even if I’m not putting on a full face of make up and depending if I need to go anyplace later in the day and how made up I need to be I may put on another layer (which adds a little more coverage).
