## Description

The Presto® induction compatible pressure canner is the only full-sized consumer pressure canner that works on an induction range. Its extra-large 23-quart size is designed for easy, confident pressure canning—the only method recommended safe by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for canning vegetables, meats, poultry, and seafood. It doubles as a boiling water canner for preserving fruits, jams, jellies, pickles, and salsa in half-pint, pint, and quart jars. Canner is constructed of heavy-gauge aluminum with an induction compatible stainless steel-clad base for fast, even heating. It works on gas, electric, smooth-top, and induction ranges.* The deluxe pressure gauge registers precise processing pressures, which are especially important in high altitude areas. The special air vent/cover lock allows pressure to build only when the cover is closed properly and prevents the cover from being opened until pressure is safely reduced. It’s quite large at about 15in across, in fact you’ll want to make sure you have a kitchen burner large enough to support this thing. The pressure went to 15 psi quite quick on the induction burner I use. Be aware, the product manual specifically states it cannot be used with a propane “ turkey cooker”. It’s easy to clean including the seal. A simple elegant design, no frills but I think it will last me decades. A bit more expensive than I was hoping but after using it I think it’s a good value.

**Q: will this work on an induction heat hotplate?**
A: Portable induction cooktops or other portable burners may not be suitable for canning. They may not have enough wattage to pressurize a fully loaded canner and/or they

**Q: In order to get 26 half pints in, what extra racks would I need to purchase?**
A: You can order another rack, like the one provided for the bottom of the canner. You may also stack one layer so the jars are not directly on top of each other, but by staggering them. **Q: Will this work on a magnetic induction frigidaire glass stove top?**
A: Yes, this will work on an induction cooktop, but I would caution to follow the instructions on Page 14 If canning on an electric smooth-top or induction range, refer to instructions for canning in the owner’s manual for your range. Always clean the stovetop with a cooktop polishing cream, according to the range manufacturer’s instructions, before and after canner use. In addition, to avoid scratching the ceramic glass surface of the smooth-top or induction range, check the bottom of the canner to be sure it is clean and free of debris and does not have any nicks or scratches.

**Q: What type of gauge does this use, weighted or pressure?**
A: The steam dial gauge is a pressure gauge. The regulator is weighted, 15 PSI. I replaced an old pressure cooker. I’m so glad I did! I had no idea how much better this one would be. It’s quite large at about 15in across, in fact you’ll want to make sure you have a kitchen burner large enough to support this thing. The pressure went to 15 psi quite quick on the induction burner I use. Be aware, the product manual specifically states it cannot be used with a propane “ turkey cooker”. It’s easy to clean including the seal. A simple elegant design, no frills but I think it will last me decades. A bit more expensive than I was hoping but after using it I think it’s a good value.

That you put three quarters on top of the jiggle weight to make her purr at 18 psi, make sure your grain spawn is fully cooked aka pasturized. Also make sure to purchase a NuWave II induction cooktop cooker where you can program times for cooking etc it's good to see that out of a lot of things in this world this product has actually increased in value from 123 to now 180 since 2020 100000/10 quality, ease of use, build structure, appearance, noise level, weight, fit, it was a great value of money then and still is now!
