Precision mil-spec picatinny rail and see-thru U-channel for iron sight use with scope/rings attached Rail hardened to 45-50 Rc for a tough and strong mounting platform. Produced from solid chrome-moly steel bar, not investment cast 5 degree case deflector angle milled on the underside of rail. Proven Brookfield type 3-point contact design. The manufacturer included 2 precision ground pins that you can can use to determine if the groove milled into the side of the receiver is to mil-spec and therefore will provide a stable mounting point. Just follow the directions exactly, and you shouldn't have a problem, unless your receiver is out of spec. You will need to use a butt stock cheek riser in order to use this mount with any scope, as the standard stocks are designed for use with the iron sights.
