The 8mm ones looked tiny at first, but fit into my 3rd piercing nicely, and the small ones closed no problem. I had some serious trouble with one of the larger ones - they're big enough that the post has lateral wiggle - but the posts are "standard" guage and don't irritate my usually-angry piercings. I'm looking forward to not worrying about my earrings snagging. They were wrong. I do not use tons of hair product and had a new piercing so build up of product is not an issue either. I wore them less than two months and my daughter asked me when I got the new black earrings. Needless to say the search continues. The 8 mm are VERY DIFFICULT to get closed. All sizes take patients to get closed. Lost one down the drain while trying to get it closed, or I would be returning them all for a refund.
