**Q: Will it mount to a 3/8 rail?**
A: Any scope can mount to a 3/8 rail with rings that will fit that rail. This scope 1 inch diameter and I can't remember if it came with rings or I bought them separately.

**Q: Is it water proof ?**
A: I have not had occasion to see if it is.  It should be fine but, as always, you generally get what you pay for.

**Q: Will this fit on a ruger gunsite scout rifle?**
A: yes is great scope

**Q: How close will this focus, I need it for air pistol 10 meters or less?**
A: It will focus within 10 meters,  but as Timothy Soukup  said may not be able to withstand  an air rifles  recoil.  Personally, I've fired about 100  rounds through my Sheridan air rifle  with the  scope in question mounted without any problem. Your milage may vary.
