I even use a garden hose on it when washing out the inside if the Jeep. Verry happy with it.

This is exactly what I needed to mount my new stereo in my older Jeep, didn't want to cut up my dash to make the stereo fit and this solves that problem. I was really impressed with the quality not made cheep at all, and as far as water proof just about nothing out there is completely water proof. This will keep the dirt and moisture out for sure. I researched Stereo Enclosures far and near and settled for this enclosure. The price was right and it was a breeze to install. I read the reviews and was skeptical of my purchase due to all the negative reviews left about the face plate. I came to the assumption that these customers probably did not use caution when opening face plate or were just too rough. Please buy this item w/ caution. The hinge on the face plate breaks real easy. I notified the "Pyle" company about my concern and they responded w/ "We only cover mechanical parts"
