We will see how the flowers compare to previous years when I did nothing this early. Important…make sure you have plants that are edibles at least 3ft away. I have a raspberry bush fairly close to my climbing rose and I didn’t realize until after I applied this stuff that it cannot be that closely applied to edibles. So now I have to wait a year to be able to eat my raspberries again. I’m so disappointed. This was a terrible mistake to make. I always have several rose bushes, clematis, and others, I use this on all, and happy with the reaction of all types of blooming shrubs/roses. In fact I just ordered another 20 lbs. **Q: Does it work for orchids?** A: I, too, raise orchids and the answer is no. These types of products are way to harsh for our delicate orchids.
