They are very pretty colours but do not look real, and light up nicely. They are very light so the wind blows them about and any movement in the water means they all end up in a cluster. I took the batteries out until it gets a bit warmer and I can enjoy looking at the lights. It is a bit awkward not being able to turn the lights off - as the only way to do so is to remove the batteries.
