It will toggle the display between F and C. The answer is in the impossible-to-read instructions. I recommend you scan the instructions. That way you can increase the impossible size of the text. **Q: How do you open it to get to battery?** A: There should be a disc on the back which needs a coin in to turn Button Battery CR2032 available in sainsbury's **Q: Does it measure core temperature?** A: It's a standard thermometer which measures body temperature by the usual three methods, as it says in the description. **Q: How to change to Celcius?** A: I didn't know this myself until I found a magnifying glass to read the instructions - you just press the little button at the end of the handle for a few seconds and it changes. Press again if you want to change it back.
