I've only had them for a few days, but they are made of a thicker plastic that is still flexible. I don't think that the previous issues I've had with other plant saucers will be an issue with these. When we slid another under a pot it cracked. 2 are currently under flower pots but seem a little fragile for outdoor used. On a positive note (and the reason for changing from 3 to 5 stars) the seller is awesome. Without even asking, the seller sent us another set of trays! They arrived in great shape and we were very pleased.
