Review: Still Running Strong After 5 Years - I purchased the Lasko Misto Outdoor Misting Blower Fan about five years ago for use on construction projects in the desert, and it is still running strong. It has been a lifesaver during the hottest months, helping keep the general work area at least 10 degrees cooler and making outdoor conditions much more tolerable. The three fan speeds provide good airflow, and the misting feature makes a noticeable difference in dry desert heat. It has proven to be durable, reliable, and well worth the investment. Review: Typical Lasko Winner - I live in one of the hottest areas of the US, Phoenix. Lots of 115+ degree days this summer. I bought the Misto about two weeks ago, and quite simply, this thing is an absolutely amazing BEAST!!!! I use a stationary recumbent exercise bike on my patio 7 days a week....30-60 min per workout. Even in the early morning hours, temps are hovering around 85-90 degrees, which usually makes for a miserable workout. Impossible at mid-day. The Lasko Misto performs like a champ!! This is not a toy. Positioned about 7-8 ft. from the bike, it immediately drops temps at least 25 degrees, plus the powerful blower makes you feel like you're in a windstorm of mist. Out of the 3 levels of power, I usually run on a 2......more than enough. Now I can go out virtually any time of day, workout hard, and ignore the heat. (The first time that I turned it on, it was 85 outside, and I felt way too cold, since the Misto was only 5 ft. from my bike.) I finally tweaked the distance and angle to perfection. Everything is adjustable, mist output, blower speed, and blower angle. And since the unit is weatherproof, I leave it outside without worry. While I do agree with other posters that you wind up getting somewhat wet, especially after 30 minutes, I am 110% thrilled with this purchase. Kudos to Lasko. And desertcart's price is a real bargain.

**Q: Does it get your patio floor wet?**
A: Well, if you operate it with the mist on high, then , yes, it will get your floor wet.  However, you can adjust the amount of mist so that it is so fine it will evaporate before hitting the floor. (That how we usually operate it).   You can even turn the mist off so that only the fan blows.

**Q: Will "hard water" affect the performance?**
A: Hard water will certainly have an effect on the nozzles. To clean the nozzles; unscrew them and soak them in small bowl of vinegar for a few hours.

**Q: Can this be used in a greenhouse?**
A: Absolutely, can be used in a greenhouse.  I used it this past summer for my patio and for the kids to cool off with.  Very portable.

**Q: Will this be safe and ok to stay outdoors, i will put it under my open arbor and is it complete as sold and only need a water hose connected?**
A: yes it can be left outside that is where we keep ours and only needs the hose we tried to use in lanai but too wet for area screened in so out in pool area.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Definitely mists large area!

I was impressed with all 3 fan speeds as it even does a pretty good job against Chicago area winds. The misting element surprised me, however. I expected it to be a very light mist, not actually soaking everything within half hour to hour or so. Umbrellas, cushions, clothes all set wet and dripping. I even lowered the water pressure but still kicks out same amount of wetness. Would be nice if there was a low, medium & high setting on the misting portion of machine as well. My female friends won't sit on patio when it's on because it ruins their hair. I'm bald so no biggie but I can only use my waterproof cell and not tablet while it's on, even set on "1" and pretty far from sitting area. Very well made and sturdy yet light enough to easily carry. DEFINITELY buy the filter cartridge sold separately!! I'm sure this is perfect for those just sunbathing in backyard.
