We started using this product with 2 teaspoons in each smelly load, but found that 1 teaspoon was enough. It seems to work best (for us) if you put some water in the washer first. Then add laundry detergent and Odorzout; then add your smelly laundry. We have had a few times when there was a powder residue on our clothes, as if the powder did not fully dissolve after the wash. And this would happen if we put the clothes in the washer first, then adding detergent and Odorzout last. We bought the gallon bucket, but would have done just fine with the smaller container. I will likely be giving this product as Xmas presents this year. My kitchen towels often get hard to remove food/grease stains and smells. This product did absolutely nothing to remove the smells. The only thing it does do is coat your towels with dirt. Yes dirt. This is actually just clay...ummm. I don't want to wash my things in mud thank you!
