Extended to 16 feet I can easily reach the gutters, and as high as the attic section of siding above the second story. There are a multitude of attachments available as well. I found another use for my Extension pole. I've been picking up trash thrown out of vehicles by irresponsible people who don't seem to care out keeping our country beautiful. I took a paint roller and cut off the plastic roller ends so I just have the metal hook. I can reach in heavy foliage, bushes, including jagger bushes, and gently insert the metal into the hole in cans or into a bottle and pull them out. Works great. I also voluntarily have cleaned up fishing areas around a nearby resort lake. So far We've picked up trash along 2 miles of shoreline, and also a bicycle trail which runs along it. The park authorities are elated, and actually it's been fun. We've actually had people stop and pitch in This pole is light weight and extends and retracts so easily I can't imagine using anything else. I also have a short extention pole as well which I use for more open areas.
