Ours is 3 months old, 11.5 pounds and 23.5" now. We are looking to use this for the next 2.5 months** A: We used ours until our daughter was actively rolling around. At 5 months she would sometimes get 'wedged' or 'cross-ways' in the bassinet while trying to turn on her back in a circle. Typically though if she was tired and ready to be asleep it wasn't an issue. However, once your baby starts rolling, I'd highly recommend discontinuing the bassinet. For that reason, I'd also never use it on an elevated or uneven surface. We were visiting different cities and staying in Airbnbs that our daughter booked throughout the trip. She requested cribs at each location, but we found this pod to be more preferable to what was offered. Though it folds up and can be carried by the handle, we put the folded pod in a large Costco freezer tote bag and checked it as luggage. The tote bag added another layer of padding so that it didn’t break being thrown around with the other checked bags. It also left plenty of room for other essentials to be added to each flight to reach 50lbs. Packages of new diapers, wipes, and misc. can be added for vacation destination flight and dirty laundry can be added for return home flight. We also kept the cardboard that it was wrapped in too for another layer of protection in the tote bag. Slim tote and easy to carry or hang on luggage handle while walking.
