Review: They do what they say - I ordered a set of 5 markers to try (at the moment the full range is 30 colours) as the full set was too expensive . However, the next day they were reduced and the following day was reduced again. The problem with a relatively small range is that if you wanted to expand you would always have duplicates. I ordered the full range of 30 and returned the pack of 5. I had researched them extensively and was really impressed. I had quite a few packs of watercolour markers which were no more than felt tip pens that minimally reacted to water. These are great! They are juicy as markers. They are dual ended. Brush and bullet tip (others have been bullet and chisel tip). You can put colour onto dry and wet watercolour paper. The Markers work on both but you can also lay the colour into a palette, add a touch of water and it turns into watercolour ‘paint’. That’s where they come into their own (and why the 30 colours is all you really need) as you can mix and blend any colour or shade you want. I can’t fault these and I’m clearing out the old so-called watercolour markers that I originally tried to use) as I see how poor they really were.

Now where to store them horizontally as advised? Other Faber-Castell items I’ve purchased have all been in sturdy travel worthy containers. But these are spilling everywhere. Not good for PR.

**Q: Do you consider these colors to be bright or more muted?**
A: The colors are vivid when colored straight on the paper. They get somewhat less vivid when water is applied and the color is made into a wash. Is you want the color even less intense, color on a watercolor palette and mix with water. If you need to paint a tiny spot too tiny for the pen tips, then touch the brush to the tip and apply to paper.

**Q: are they refillable ?**
A: No. But they do last for quite a while.

**Q: Are these markers sold separately, so as to replace one that is emptied without having to buy the whole set again?**

A: The set I have there is no way to unscrew and refill. The pigments are very specific.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Too expensive for what they are

I think that these are going to take quite some time to master. They have a lot of colour but I am finding that if I dont wet my page first then I cannot blend before the colour dries. I am sure there must be a knack, I just dont have it yet. Also they are a bit too chunky to be totally comfortable in my hand. If you were to like these they would need to have a lot more colours to choose from
