Without that button, the clack cannot be set to the correct time, nor can the alarm be personalized.And this is a shame, as I have an older version of this clock that I've had for 25 years or so that still works and keeps accurate time - just the buttons don't work anymore so I can't use the clock as a travel clock in other time zones, nor can I reset it for the daylight Saving Time changes.I bought this one hoping to get 25 years' use from it - and I didn't even get 1 minute's use from it. How sad that a once fine product has deteriorated so badly.
