The full licsense map worked great and you can update it also. But here is a little secret. The 30 day licsense worked just fine !!! I used the old (30 day) card for 3 weeks in November and December of 2013. I used it just recently from July 6 through July 22 2014. When I called Trakit on their 800 number to ask them if I could update my 30 day license version they said no. They said all the information on the 30 day card would be erased. Not true. It worked fine. The only problem I had was trying to navigate to a resort in Costa Rica that wasn't in business when I got my 30 day card. So it probably wasn't on the new card as a point of interest either. No problem, I just used google maps to find it. Warning: if you use google maps your phone must be compatible with the Costa Rica phone service. Tmobile worked great. I think ATT works too. I do know as of July 2014, Verison or Sprint phones don't work in CR.Now with that said the Trakit works flawlessly. Just take the micro or SD card out of your Garmin and plug their card in. It's to simple. It works great. I highly recommend.. Just buy the thirty day version and save $$$ ### ⭐ Unreliable GPS MAP of Costa Rica - Do not buy! *by F***K on Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2014* DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! I am a confident and competent driver. I also have a great sense of direction. Went to CR a few weeks back but the driving aspect of our trip was a nightmare to such an extent that I avoided driving when not completely necessary. The Track It GPS map of Costa Rica spun us in circles time and again. The GPS literally had us make a right turn followed by 3 left turns (multiple times) only to send us back to our original destination but in the wrong direction. What should have been a 20 minute trek from suburban San Jose to Highway 27 (heading to West Coast) took about an hour an a half. If not for asking directions from local residents, we would still be lost in Costa Rica. Just to let you know, this was not our first trip to Costa Rica either, so we were at least somewhat familiar with our surroundings. During our previous trip, we rented a car that came equipped with a GPS system and its performance was flawless. We never made a wrong turn. We were never taken off course and spun in circles. Again, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Trackit Costa Rican GPS maps - Excellent *by K***Y on Reviewed in the United States on November 27, 2011* We just returned from a 2 week trip to Costa Rica. We traveled to San Jose, Arenal, Monteverde, Carara, Jaco, Quepos, Manuel Antonio, Sarchi, Cartago and many points in between. The Trackit GPS map for Garmin was our savior. The accuracy was amazing whether we were in a city/town or the countryside. It never failed to get us to our location. As you may know, streets and roads most often are not identified. Building locations usually do not have a numbered address. The Trackit maps were able to work through this and direct us to the proper location each time.Trackit's customer support is also excellent. Prior to departure, I had some questions about how to use Trackit. Representatives provided needed information to make me feel much more comfortable. When we arrived in San Jose, we had trouble with our Garmin recognizing that it was in Costa Rica. We contacted Costa Rica based Trackit representatives who worked with us to resolve the problem with our Garmin unit. A GPS is essential for individuals who drive around this beautiful country. The SD card and adapter make the navigation possible. The CR GPS map and Trackit staff are superb! This was less expensive than the rental car alternative for our 13 day trip. Also, we will be able to update the maps for our next Costa Rica trip.
