I do not recommend using the pop out trimmer for longer hair in the genital area as the big head blocks line of sight and can make using the razor feel awkward. For longer hair I would recommend dedicated electric clippers like the Remington PG6025. **Q: It appears that the difference between the Panasonic ES8103S and the ES LT41 is the travel lock (and roughly $20). Any thoughts on which one to buy?** A: I have had the ES8103S for 7 years, using it every day with no problems. Travel extensively internationally and never had a problem with it coming on in the luggage. Also, the charger is good to use anywhere as it is multi-voltage. Just need the correct plug adapter depending on the country you are in. **Q: is this shaver made in japan** A: Back of the actual shaver says Made in China. I have an ES8243 (Arc 4) that is actually made in Japan, and I can tell the difference in quality. Is there still a problem or has it been fixed?** A: I bought mine in 2010 and the LCD only failed in the last few months (8 years later).
