    Good book to read, but it smells like fish

This was a really great read that I would suggest to anyone.  However, the actual book itself smelled like fish and was bent on the back bottom corner.  Come on Amazon!  You can do better then this.

I don't have the depth or scope of knowledge to give an in depth review of Jurgen Moltmann's work in this or any of his other writings.  However, you will find his thinking to be both insightful and stimulating if you take the time to engage him.  In The Coming of God, Moltmann unpacks the history of Christian and Jewish eschatology and the incredible impact these two systems of thought have had on western modernity - the philosophical system that shapes what we in the west think and how we view the world, our place in it and our political, economic and cultural structures.However, his purpose in The Coming of God is not to simply trace the history and influence of Christian and Jewish eschatology in the west, but to critique and present his thinking on just what it means to think of the coming of God to creation.Moltmann is someone you should read.

Although I haven't finished reading yet, so far I find the book itself excellent.  However, it is not formatted well for Kindle.  There are no links to the many endnotes, which makes it very awkward to discover the sources from which Moltmann is quoting.
