It seems like it's just several layers of very thin t-shirt cotton. It just soaked the middle then started wicking into the sides and trim and into the stitching through to the bottom. They would be OK for someone who is a bit on The lighter side. I love their panty liners though. I forget I have them on. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A money saver and natural *by E***1 on May 10, 2018* So I got these pads to try and save some money in the long run for my product needs and boy has it been great. At first I was a little put off about washing after wear but, I thought about it's like well it my body, it's a natural function (even though it is still messy and gross) and I have been dealing with this every month forever let's try it and see. Let me tell you I just love it. Way more comfy then anything else I have worn over the years, absorbs well and actually cleans easy. I had to get white cuz the other colors were out, I was worried about staining it cuz it is white, but I found a safe way you can counter that. After you wash the pad with the soap provide I use peroxide let it fizz up for about 5mins, rinse again then follow the hang dry instructions. Thanks Hesta I will not go back to the plastic felling products that I have no idea what they are even made of, I would choose this natural product over another any day. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ are super easy to wash and they're pretty *by B***M on April 11, 2017* I really wish I'd switched from disposable pads sooner.
