I just got back from our beach trip and it was a life saver.The key is to dig a small hole first (once you hit damp sand, go maybe 4 inches deeper than that), THEN screw it into the ground, THEN you fill the hole back in with sand and pack it down. This makes it solid as a rock, but if you just try screwing it directly into the sand, it won't hold.I will also say the bag it comes with is just barely big enough and I find it kind of pointless, but I'm not worried about the quality of the bag. The actual product is sturdy and effective and that's all that matters to me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to Use *by K***R on October 9, 2019* We have 2 others of these and love them....but we did have to take off the screw-in end of our umbrella to use them. The ones on the umbrellas don't hold in very well...you can twist these down in a good ways.
