TSA saw it, played with it, but in the end didn't take it away. I was surprised. ### ⭐⭐ Side spikes are thin hollow tubes that screw in and snap off easily. *by M***S on October 14, 2018* Not very useful for self defense. The side spikes screw in (not terrible) but it turns out they are made of hollow aluminum tubes, like thin straws. Why would they do that? To save a gram of aluminum? I tried punch a board thinking it was durable and noticed it immediately bent. I pushed it a bit more to straighten and it snapped off in my fingers leaving the threads inside. Not very useful in an emergency and may actually endanger you when it fails. Flimsy is the tldr. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy *by A***E on April 2, 2019* I bought these on a whim. I wanted some kind of self-defense weapon that didn't necessarily look the part.PROS:sturdygood gripmy hands are small so this fits almost the entire size of my hand which is nice. It's not too small, it's not too big, it's just right.Yes, it'll stick out a bit when used as a keychain, but isn't that the whole point? That it's kind of a visible weapon? I like that.I watched a video on youtube about how to use it and found how versatile it is to cause instant pain to a potential attacker. The instructor in the video said that he had interviewed several attackers in prison and they all said the same thing, that look for the weakest person they could find to harm. But if they noticed someone with a potential weapon, they steered clear because they wanted the easy target.I think all women should have one of these and learn the basics on how to give a potential attacker a serious thrashing with this little weapon. It's little and simple looking but after watching the video, wow, it's pretty painful for anyone willing to take their chance.CONS: I haven't really come up with any.RECOMMENDED? Yes. Good price.
