I watched a video online where they used connectors that had a "pierce through" clasp. These do not work that way. You have to insert the metal end of he LED strip and then clasp it down. It has to be closed really well or the connection will not take, and I had a hard time getting the some of them closed. I finally used the little screw in clamps to actually clamp down the top of the connector to make it stay shut. Makes connections simple to do with strips that can be cut or joined together.
