She runs, plays soccer and uses these shoes for her "go to school" shoes. they hold up like iron, but remain comfortable throughout their life. I used to purchase 2 or sometimes 3 pairs of shoes for my other kids, but these seem to be holding up just fine as an "only pair of shoes for the year". If you have kids, these shoes will perform like no other that I've seen before. They fit exactly as you would want them to fit. If you put your foot on a scale, see the size, get that size and they'll fit exactly....at least that's been my findings. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Hiking Sneaker *by C***S on January 16, 2014* I ordered these shoes for my 7 year old daughter whose favorite activities are hiking, rock climbing, and geocaching. We are looking forward to breaking in these shoes this weekend on a campout. They definitely run on the smaller side and are narrow. Thankfully, I read previous reviews and ordered up a half-size. She has a pair of water hiking shoes by Keen in a size 12, and they are loose. These Merrells in a size 12.5 are just right to a little snug. I like the extra padding around the heel. Colors are super cute - a bit of pink makes them girl-friendly without being too girly. Will work for school or the outdoors. ### ⭐⭐⭐ not as good as previously owned Merrells *by K***L on April 1, 2014* I'm an adult female with small but wide feet, so the youth size 5 (eu size 36) fits me better than the women's shoes of similar style. My previous shoes were the Merrell Moab Ventilators and I loved them. They lasted about a year before I wore through the soles. This year, the youth size Moabs were discontinued so I chose the Chameleon 4's because they have a similar look with similar features in the product description. I was disappointed. The shoes fit my feet, but they had absolutely no arch support. The removable insoles were completely flat. I took the insoles (that had a nice built in arch support) out of my old Moabs and put them in the Chameleons. Also, the Chameleons only have 4 lace holes. It makes it very hard to tighten the shoes around my ankles without tightening them all the way down to the toes. I plan to punch some extra lace holes. It's too bad that I had to amend the shoes in order to make them workable for me. If I could have found another shoe that fit my feet as well, I would have returned these.
