The insoles do not make the bike taller, they do however make you appear taller. If you wish to make your bike taller, perhaps try raising the seat or getting bigger tires, but unfortunately you cannot put insoles on bikes because they do not wear shoes. **Q: What material are these made of and where are they manufactured?** A: The same condensed black cushion that 99% of the insoles are made of. The insole has an air filled heel which is great...the heel is detachable as seen in pic. Just so people know, in measuring the lift from the back of the heel, it is not quite 2 inches and with any weight on the lift, the lift will compress down to at least 1 1/2 inches. (Note: I simulated weight on the lifts by just mild compressing the lift with my fingers so the actual compression and loss of height may actually be far more with one's full weight on the lifts). I have not put them in my shoes and cannot comment on their comfort or how they might squish further over time.
