Ordered both and L and XL but the L should have easily fit based on measurements. However the L sleeves were too short and it was tight across my mid-section when wearing over a lightweight, athletic t-shirt. The XL allowed the extra arm length to use the thumb holes and a little bit of looseness in the fit.
