Review: Quality Survival and Practical Tool - Great little survival tool... It has so many applications in urban and wilderness survival, as well as in practical situations. I took a foot long (or so) stick from a broken tool (probably a hoe or something) and started trying to attach the Ax Card to it. With zip-ties its apparently quite simple (according to other videos and reviews I've seen), but I wanted to do it with paracord since I parctically always wear a paracord bracelet on my right wrist (which would make paracord more applicable than zip-ties for me in a survival situation). So, I took the stick and the Ax Card and attached it with the paracord. It took me about 15 tries (adjusting the knots, carving the stick, etc... I didn't realized you had to have a notch for the card to fit into until about the 8th try). After I had a good notch in the stick and a good length of paracord (about 2-3 feet), it was fairly simple to attach the Ax Card to the stick to make a survival ax. I was able to cut wood hitting as hard as I could (which is quite hard, I'm built larger than most people) The blade was sharp enough to cut down a hardwood limb, about and inch and a half in diameter (when in ax form). There are no dents or bends in the card blade. It is made of good quality steel. It should last for as long as I need it. The Ax Card came in a pretty flimsy case. It would be perfect to carry in a wallet, but in a pocket by itself (which is what I do with it), the case wouldn't work. It wasn't very difficult to make a small case for it to easily slide in and out of. A couple of other ways to use it: -Both the Arrowhead and the Card itself are perfect throwing weapons (depending on your form). -The saw works without being attached to anything. -Good pocket tool without being in Ax form. I love this little tool and all of its survival and practical uses. Great quality; good price. I highly recommend this product.
Review: An amazing little invention. Just use it right when you put it together (as opposed to those who make video 'reviews' of this). - I have seen, on YouTube, people 'review' this axe. Every one of them just used the axe part, itself, instead of binding the point onto the BACK of the axe as is recommended. Do NOT try to bond just the axe onto the handle, because the axe will, quickly, twist because of torque until it won't cut any more (as they showed it do in each of the supposed 'reviews' of this axe). The axe is designed to be used WITH the atlatl point being bound onto the back of the axe. It steadies the axe and keeps it from twisting from the torque that occurs when you hit wood with it. Obviously, because the edge is a 45 degree sharpness and is lightweight, it will not bite deeply into wood with one whack. However, it certainly makes an incredible weapon. Just as the ancient Hohokam made their stone axes to hit someone in the head, not to chop down trees... this axe is a perfect weapon that can be used against mountain lion or javalina attacks (as well as warding off people who might wish to attack you). Yes, if you chopped long-enough you can certainly chop down a tree easier than you might if you were to try and cut a tree down with your hunting knife. Even those 'pull on two handles' saws are extremely delicate and you will break those far before you will break this axe. For it being so small, it is a great emergency tool to keep in your Everyday Survival Kit.

This thing is cool, I got it for my son as a novelty and he loves it. I can't see it being truly effective as a "survival asset" though, or at least not the thing you would choose if the situation arose. You'd have to be pretty crafty to make an actual usable tool with it.
