This floor stand is very stable and can hold the pressure of the arms when doing two-handed stitching. It is able to accommodate large projects using scroll rods that are 24โ€, 30โ€, 36โ€, 42โ€ and 48.โ€ The stand is lightweight and moves easily on either hardwood or carpet. It is adjustable to many positions and sizes. the side supports have 18" of adjustable arm locations. The top and bottom cross bars expand in width from 24" to 48". The scroll frame can rotate a full 360ยฐ for quick, easy access to the back of your project. The stitcher can choose what height and depth the scroll frame is positioned toward them. There are 4 different foot placement options. The upper portion of the floor stand, which angles and lifts the frame, has 12" inches of adjustable positions. It also includes grooves to store floss bobbins and a hole for storing scissors, tweezers, or a highlighter. The EZ Stitch Floor stand is compatible with all EZ Stitch Scroll Frames, Rods, and Side Bars. The parts are all clearly labelled and the assembly instructions are easy to follow. The result is an extremely sturdy piece of equipment suitable for needlework up to FOUR FEET wide - yes, you can buy extra bars for this that go up to 48 inches! (Those aren't included with this package, but they're widely available.) If you have a recliner, this will probably fit over it, and it's highly adjustable.I bought a big photo equipment bag to store the parts in when it's disassembled, and once I got everything packed into it, that bag was HEAVY. This stand is rock solid and built to last and to hand down to the next needleworker in your family. Definitely an heirloom. Glad I kept shopping around until I settled on this. Would buy a smaller version if they made it. ### โญ looks better than works *by V***. on April 15, 2023* Assembly not so easy. Footprint takes up a lot of floor space. You will need a lot of room. When turning scroll from front to back to tie off, knobs fall off. These are pass through screws, so if scroll is going back and forth eventually the knobs on inside will work there way off. I thought this was a very nice looking stand but that's about all it's got going for it.
