Both have a capacity of 19 gallons and both come equipped without the vent support in the filler pipe. Further, Spectra shows the F6D to stop with the 1989 model year and the F6C starts with the 1990 model year continuing to 1997 (or 1996 for the F150). Wondering if there is "something" that may be different from an emissions standpoint or is there a design change for the fuel pump / sending unit.I have used the F6C without any problems for my applications which are for the 1995 - 1997 F350's. All of my purchases have been for trucks with the 7.3L PowerStroke. For anyone with a 7.3L, I HIGHLY suggest purchasing Ford E5TZ-9J306-BA filter assembly.
