The slow heat of the unit isn’t sufficient to brown meat or veg I always brown in a separate pan first **Q: How many watts is the high tempp or is it 120?** A: Yes its 120 watts. **Q: Is the colour cream like it says or is it more yellow? My daughter got the pots and pans set and they are definitely yellow, not cream like it said.** A: I think the colour is an antique cream which to me looks nicotine stain colour, I have the grey pot and luckily the inner dish is a light nice cream. **Q: Can you cook chicken breasts** A: You can cook anything in a slow cooker but it is never crispy and doesn’t brown. It’s easy to clean and I got the smallest size which is perfect for 1-2 people but in all honesty it could do 3 people!! Haven’t had a problem with the dial like others have mentioned, could be because I’m gentle with these types of things and they probably weren’t. I also really like the design.
