I know that they look like support stockings and I hate that. I have been hunting for some other brand that looks like real nylons....sheer, smooth and highly attractive while also being great support for swollen ankles. Finally found them!!! And, these are made in the USA for most of the sizes.There is a great chart to be able to find your size, several great shades and even a version without toes for sandals. I bought two pair to begin and I love them!!! My most swollen ankle is back to normal in only two days of wearing, and my feet are not too hot while wearing these, either. they wash like a dream, dry fast and now I want to get a bunch of them. I love these and highly suggest you try them out. Fairly easy to put on, and very comfortable to wear. Even though they are sheer, they are still obviously compression stockings. I’ve not yet worn them, but under slacks, because I really don’t want people to see that look. I will suggest to buy one size larger than you might normally wear because they do seem to run a little short in the foot . And also to hand wash.
