I followed the instructions, they do not say anything about the springform pan. Cake came out with dome, cracked in the middle, undone in the crack. Threw it out!!! Take 2 large pieces of heavy-duty aluminum foil and wrap around springform pan. Place pan in larger pan and pour boiling water to about 1/2 way up pan or a little more. I always add about 10 minutes to the recommended baking time. With a water-bath it doesn't hurt if you over bake it a little. When time is up turn off oven and leave in for 1 hour then remove and place on wire rack to completely cool.
