Doesn't really pull anything out. This is a game changer for me, I’m so excited to see my face a month in.First time I steamed my face with a hot towel because I didn’t have time to shower and a good amount came out. The second time (later that same day mind you) an insane amount of nasty white was sucked right out of my face.The trick is to shower and do it at the very end. We have a little mirror in the shower my husband uses to shave which helps. This was from my nose, chin and part of my forehead.**Edited Update: I have realized that a lot of the build up I am getting out of the pore vacuum is dead skin, not sebum. But, this little machine does a great job and it really, truly DOES get the gunk out of your skin and it minimizes pores. I have had congestive acne my whole life and even though, I am now in my 50's, I still have oily skin and now a few wrinkles too. It has a setting for smoothing dry skin, as well, but I haven't tried that, yet. I was really baffled by the instructions and it referencing some sort of black export liquid. In the Q & A the seller explains it is not something that is included or needed. They need to revise their users manual!
