It dries over night; however, if your creation has thin parts, it will break very easily when dried. Some of the children's bowls were very thin around the top and those tops chipped off almost as soon as they were touched. One child made a spoon for her bowl and the neck of the spoon broke when she picked it up. I believe this clay would be good if the characters are made with thick appendages. It didn’t have any mold or the smell that everyone else was talking about. It does need some water to soften it up but once it’s soft, it’s just fine. This is a completely dry small tester piece that I let air dry for 3 days.
