With the Smart Feed Automatic Pet Feeder, dinnertime has never been easier! Connect the feeder to your homes Wi-fi to schedule, adjust and monitor your pets meals from your phone with the My PetSafe app, or ask your desertcart Echo to feed your pet a snack. Low and empty food sensors will send your phone a notification when the pet feeder is running low or out of kibble. To save you a trip to the store, you have the option to use desertcart Dash Replenishment. With desertcart Dash Replenishment, this feeder will automatically reorder your pets food when its running low. Replenishment to automatically reorder your pets food when its running low and save you a trip to the store. This pet feeder holds 24 cups of dry or semi-moist cat or dog food. The unique design of the Smart Feeds food conveyor dispenses most shapes and sizes of dry and semi-moist food while helping to prevent jams. Review: After four years, this feeder holds strong! - I’ve had this feeder for four years now. It has never given me any issues, and I’ve moved twice with it — each time with very easy set up. It’s great for my cat in keeping her feeding on-schedule. She typically gets fed at 7am and 7pm, so it ensures she is fed around when I get up and around when I come home from work. It’s very easy to adjust portions, and it’s great to give a little snack from my phone! Early on, my cat did figure out how to give herself a snack with the button on the top, but it was very easy to disable that option. This feeder is also fantastic for when I am away, as I only need someone to give her attention and wet food in the evenings. I have recommended this product to several friends, and I can confidently say that it has been a lifesaver! The only “issue” I’ve ever noticed is adjusting for daylight savings time. I always forget to adjust it, and my cat does not understand daylight savings time so I manually place her feeding time an hour before/behind to keep her schedule set. Very easy fix, but it’d be nice to have that automated!
Review: Slow feed great: food tings loud: have patience - We have a 70 lb mutt who was eating out of the blue so fast he was making himself sick. So after finding this affordable smart automatic feeder with slow feed option we decided to take a chance. The smart app to set up feeding schedules is nice. The slow feed option is a godsend. We've not experienced any wifi signal dropping like some people have complained about. The food is kinda loud when it tings off the metal bowl during the dispensing process. We attempted to make it a little less jolting sounding by putting a pot holder under the bowl. It helps a little. With that being said. Due to the noise of the machine and the food hitting the bowl and being noisy it literally scared our big boy to death each time. So badly that we were not sure if he was ever going to warm up to it. After about 7 days of extreme praise and patience with him. Coaching and encouraging him each meal time to approach the feeder and it was ok. Wr literally had to sit with him to get him to eat from it...we gave him tons of encouragement during the transition...i think we have finally made it over the hump with him being ok with it. He still jumps off the ground on ocassion when it catches him off guard (kinda funny though...lol) but he has gotten to where he will eat from it when we are not near and he will sit and stare at it waiting for meal time...I'm not gonna lie. It took a lot longer for him to get used to it due to the noise but I think we are finally in a comfortable spot. It is very nice not having to worry about feeding time. We fill the hopper up once a week and thats it. Our big boy is set to get 1.5 cups twice a day over the slow feed option. He has not gotten sick one time since we've started using this machine for his feedings. I would totally by this again if I had to. I do recommend it. We did purchase an additional bamboo flat top elevated feeder to sit the smart feeder on so our big boy could eat at a comfortable height and not be all hunched over eating from the floor level. Additionally, I think the advertising for working with Alexa is lame. It doesn't really do anything with alexa other than you can set up the skill to give a "treat". Alexa is not capable of the skill for the feeding schedule. The app for the feeder is really all you need for the smart feature. We only use the app and have no complaints with it. It is simple to use and set up the routine feeding schedule.

**Q: What is the lowest temperature this will operate at?**
A: Thank you for this question! As the SmartFeed is intended for indoor use only, we recommend it for use in room temperature environments.

**Q: Can you program 2 different portion sizes for each of the 2 bowls?**
A: I do not use the splitter, but did research it.  No you cannot adjust the portion size different for each side.  It only equally splits the portion size you select.  Example, if you say to serve 1/4 cup, then 1/8 goes to each half of the split.

I’ve had this feeder for four years now. It has never given me any issues, and I’ve moved twice with it — each time with very easy set up. It’s great for my cat in keeping her feeding on-schedule. She typically gets fed at 7am and 7pm, so it ensures she is fed around when I get up and around when I come home from work. It’s very easy to adjust portions, and it’s great to give a little snack from my phone! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth the money just some minor design flaws

This is the best and most reliable pet feeder out there. I live in an area that has a lot of storm outages so we randomly loose power for short periods of time and this feeder with its backup battery (batteries sold separately) actually works. The only downfall is that this feeder is not good for little dogs or snub nose dogs like frenchies. I have a frenchie and I had to rig his bowl to the feeder with tape on each side and a little spout where the food shoots out to slide down to reach his bowl. The bowl and mount that it comes with is very tall and deep, so my frenchie couldn’t reach his food, and the feeder hangs over the bowl so it’s tough for dogs to get to all of their food. But it does have a large food tank which is nice, and the belt system it uses to push food through and out loos well made. All and all it’s worth it Pro: big food tank Good belt feeding system Reliable backup battery system Con: not for small or snubbed nosed dogs they can’t reach the food in the food bowl Food bowl hangs over bowl, sag can’t reach all of the food Food bowl really tall and deep
