Before I changed the ground to this one here I was having stop and go contact issues and my arc was not staying consistent. I mainly use the mig option for most small projects around the house. It is extremely irritating when you can’t lay a consistent bead because of ground connection issues. I am not a licensed welder but I’ve been welding for over 20 years. These clamps are very stout and strong and make an excellent connection. No start and stop. One thing I may add that I have seen with people installing these clamps is make sure you complete cut off the old end and strip a freash pice of wire off of your ground before installing. I’ve seen people leave the pressed end on it and cram it in there. That’s not the proper way to install.All in all I’m very impressed with this clamp. I do use these on my bigger miller rigs as well. I highly recommend this if you are having ground clamp issues or want to prevent issues and just replace that cheap Chinese clamp that comes with your welder.
