Read my review! *by 4***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 May 2019* I’ve been using the EQ MAX! system now for over six years so here’s a summary of my observations and why I’ve given the system the rating I have.I am using a configuration that MAX! calls the House solution which includes the Max Cube hardware.So, I have eight Rooms with Thermostats, of which seven have radiator valves (one room has two valves) and one ‘room’ has a plug switch that I use to turn the boiler on and off. I don’t have any window switches or an ECO switch.I have never had any problems with the room Thermostats. The 2xAAA batteries last a fair while and are easy to replace without any necessary reconfiguration. 10/10 for the Thermostats.The radiator valves I’m going to give 8/10. Apart from the obvious issue with these valves where the display is upside down due to the way we have our plumbing in the UK, the biggest problem I have had is where the plastic fitting that attaches the valves to the radiator fails.The plastic will obviously get very hot where it touches the radiator and over the six years of use, I’ve had five valves fail where the plastic has just died out and cracked. There is a lot of pressure put on the fitting when the valve closes, and this seems to crack the plastic once it’s dried out.There is also a noticeable ‘whirr’ sound when the valve closes or opens. They are not silent by any means. I’ve got used to the noise and depending on when you want the valve to open (or close) shouldn’t be too intrusive. Don’t forget it will open (or close) automatically when it’s actively controlling the temperature in the room.Again, the 2xAA batteries last a reasonable amount of time with no reconfiguration necessary when they are being replaced.Now, the MAX! Cube. This gets just 2/10 from me.For a start, the EQ Max! software is pretty useless. They have never released improved versions so whilst you CAN control the system (locally and remotely) using their software, it’s feeble to say the least.The BIGGEST issue with the Cube (of which I have now had three) is that it has a tendency to lose its configuration. Maybe not very often but it obviously shouldn’t. All three of the Cubes I have had have done the same, so it wasn’t a hardware fault on specifically any one Cube.Okay, so it loses its configuration. All you need to do is reload it from a backup. Wrong. There is NO backup or restore function for the configuration! That means you have to go around the house adding all the devices (17 in my case) back into the Cube. This might take 30 minutes or so.The NEXT serious issue that crops up after the loss of configuration is that the Cube seems to remember how the devices had been added the first time and if you don’t add them in exactly the same way again, you get a problem where changing the setpoint of a Thermostat in one room affects another! Again, this very same issue has occurred on two of my three Cubes. Doing a factory reset DOES seem to clear the configuration but on adding the devices, if you don’t add them in the correct sequence, you get the ‘interference’ error so the Cube must be remembering part of the configuration.The last issue that I need to mention is that both the Room Thermostats and the radiator valves do occasionally lose their connection to the Cube. I find that just by increasing or decreasing the Thermostat setpoint forces the devices to re-link.Maybe I’m being generous in giving the Cube 2/10 but, when it’s all working, it does control the heating effectively. It just needs ‘fixing’ a lot more often than it should.Hope this honest review from a user with six years of experience with this system is useful. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nuovo arrivo nella mia rete MAX! *by S***L on Reviewed in Italy on 12 January 2017* Ho applicato il sistema MAX! al mio impianto di riscaldamento da un paio di anni e da allora il confort è migliorato tantissimo ottenendo anche un certo risparmio nei consumi: un affare. Per me che abito in una casa "difficile" da riscaldare per via di locali su diversa altezza, con grandi differenze di esposizione, è sbalorditivo: altro che valvole di zona... Sono bastate un po' di testine ed un cube e 1 ora di installazione (fata da me, del tutto a digiuno di conoscenze)Qualche giorno fa ho poi deciso di fare un passo in più nel locale più grande e complesso: aggiungere questo termostato a parete per comandare due diversi termosifoni ed è stata una nuova sorpresa: prezzo eccellente, spedizione rapidissima e prodotto che si è inserito nella rete in un paio di minuti (letteralmente) grazie ad un software veramente ben fatto.Raramente si trova una simile combinazione di qualità totale e prezzi molto ragionevoli. ### ⭐⭐⭐ solo sirve para calderas con conector especifico *by �***� on Reviewed in Spain on 23 June 2015* Me sorprendió porque pensaba que serviría para sustituir mi viejo termostato, pero solo vale si tu caldera tiene el conector especifico, lo cual no se indica en el detalle del producto.
